Magic: The Gathering is sold in sealed products built for different jobs: Play Boosters for opening and drafting, Collector Boosters for foils and special versions, Bundles as a set in one box, and Secret Lair drops for collectors. These guides list what each one holds, using Wizards of the Coast’s own contents.

The overview is which Magic product to buy, from the Beginner Box to Draft Night. The two main pack types are compared slot by slot in Play Booster vs Collector Booster, and how many packs are in a booster box gives the box sizes: 30 Play Boosters or 12 Collector Boosters in Reality Fracture.

For gifts and set starters, what comes in a Magic Bundle covers the Bundle, the Gift Bundle and the new Secret Lair Bundle. What Secret Lair is explains the limited drops sold by Wizards, and Reality Fracture products lists every box from the newest set, released October 2, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a Play Booster and a Collector Booster?

A Reality Fracture Play Booster has 14 cards with at least one rare or mythic rare and one foil, and is the pack used for drafts. A Collector Booster has 15 cards, 12 of them foil, with at least four rare or mythic rare cards.

What does sealed mean for Magic products?

Sealed means unopened, in the factory wrapping. A sealed box or deck has every card it shipped with, which matters when you buy on the resale market.
